Anything Canine Excited to Open New Store in May

Owner LeeAnn Litterst is eagerly counting down the days until her new shop opens in downtown Laguna Beach. There's much to do to get ready, but she's busily checking off each item.

In January, the Laguna Beach Planning Commission okayed Litterst's application and the Anything Canine team jumped into action. Remodeling began immediately on the former space of Kush Art Gallery on South Coast Highway. The newly-designed, eye-catching logo is only posted temporarily during construction, but crews will soon be swapping out the awning and detailing the windows.

The original Anything Canine store in Laguna Hills is preparing as well. To streamline inventory, many items are being offered at the OC MarketPlace's Pet Days on March 19 and 20 at blow-out sale prices and a new state-of-the-art point-of-sale system was just installed to handle sales and inventory going forward.

Currently on the drawing board is an updated website. Launching soon, the revamped site coordinates with the POS system, social media and the new logo for a fun and classy online experience.

Once open, Anything Canine will offer a wide range of distinctive toys, treats and clothing in the downstairs boutique. Upstairs, Concierge Club members will receive personalized shopping assistance. Also offered will be spa services for pampering furry friends while their humans shop or dine in downtown Laguna Beach.

“I’ve always wanted to have a shop on the beach,” Litterst says, excited about this opportunity in her home town. “We plan to open the new boutique in May – and I can’t wait!”
